Acting Managing Director
Andrew was appointed Acting Managing Director in October 2020 and his leadership accountabilities at MLC Wealth include oversight of: Australia’s largest retail super fund; platform funds under management (FUM) of $67bn; more than $50bn in business and corporate super FUM; over $200bn of assets under management; and a national team of employed and self-employed financial planners.
Before this role Andrew was the Chief Corporate Services Officer, MLC Wealth, having been appointed in September 2019. Andrew’s key responsibilities included building commercial and financial capability, reducing financial risk, delivering to NULIS’s financial obligations and driving a culture of commercial acumen across the Wealth business.
Andrew has over 30 years experience across the financial services industry with businesses including CBA, Perpetual Limited and Lend Lease Corporation located across the U.K., the U.S, New Zealand and Hong Kong. Andrew returns to NAB having held senior financial roles from 2000 – 2005.

Chief Risk Officer
David is an experienced risk professional and lawyer. He was most recently Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC), and was in this role for seven of his almost 13 years with the group.
In this CRO role he led the Risk, Global Regulation and Workplace Health and Safety functions, with full accountability for QIC’s enterprise and strategic Risk Management Framework.
He previously led QIC’s Legal, Tax, and Environmental, Social and Governance teams. He was a member of QIC’s Executive Committee as well as holding Chair and Director roles for Sub-Committees and subsidiaries.
Prior to QIC, David was with Macquarie Bank’s Financial Services Group. Earlier in his career he worked with Linklaters in London and Tokyo as well as Clayton Utz in Sydney.
Chief Communications, Digital & Marketing Officer
For more than 25 years Kylie Smith has been building brands and working in the area of corporate reputation management, largely in Australian financial services. She believes great brands listen to and deeply understand clients, are closely aligned to client needs and interests, and communicate with clarity and conviction.
Kylie joined MLC as Chief Communications, Digital & Marketing Officer in September 2019. As part of the Wealth leadership team at MLC, Kylie leads client insights, brand strategy, marketing strategy and execution, digital client experience, and corporate affairs. Prior to MLC she spent five years as Group Executive Marketing & Communications at Perpetual Ltd. Prior to Perpetual she was with Westpac Banking Corporation and BT Financial Group where she worked for nearly 15 years.
Kylie holds a BA (Communications) from Charles Sturt University (Mitchell). She is a passionate advocate for workplace diversity and flexibility having benefited from various working arrangements as she and her husband have raised their young family and embraced evolving responsibilities and commitments in life and work over the past two decades.
Chief Technology and Operations Officer
Darren is a highly accomplished executive with more than 20 years’ experience defining and delivering strategic transformation across technology and operations within financial services organisations.
He is well regarded as a strong leader with an ability to create long-term customer-focused solutions to complex business challenges.
Darren has extensive global experience and prior to joining MLC Wealth in February 2020 he was Chief Operating Officer UK and International at RSA Insurance for four years. As a member of the UK and International Executive Team, he was accountable for Technology and Operations across the UK and International businesses including the design and execution of a large-scale transformation program.
Darren also spent six years as Chief Information Officer at Banco Santander for their consumer banking businesses, based in Frankfurt, where he led their German banking platform transformation. He was Chief Information Officer for Alliance & Leicester for three years, and Director of IT Operations at Egg for five years.
Chief Operating Officer
Anthony is a professional services leader with general management experience spanning Asset Management, Superannuation, Advice and Corporate Development.
Prior to joining MLC Wealth, Anthony held COO and Corporate Development positions at Westpac/BT. Before that, and as a partner at Mercer based in Sydney and London, Anthony advised superannuation trustees, sovereign funds, monetary authorities, as well as wealth management groups, based in Australia, Asia, North America and the UK. Anthony has also been a director and owner of a management consulting firm and a lawyer specialising in M&A.
Anthony has Masters of Law (Corporate) and Commerce (Finance) degrees (UNSW), a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (UTS) and Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment (FINSIA). He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Shenaz has over 25 years' experience in Banking & Financial Services in a variety of leadership roles, both leading large business teams and for the past 15 years leading HR teams.
Prior to joining MLC, Shenaz held a number of senior roles at Westpac. Her former roles as Group General Manager, Enterprise HR Strategy & Services, had responsibility for driving the HR Strategy across the Westpac group, including the Group’s strategy on the Future of Work.
Shenaz has also held a variety of roles at ING Australia, leading Customer Service, HR and other specialist functions.
Shenaz's formal qualifications include an eMBA (UNSW) with Distinction, completing the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) course, Global General Manager Program at Insead (Fontainebleau) and the Strategic IQ: Creating Smarter Corporations program at Harvard.
Group Executive, Asset Management
Garry was announced as incoming Group Executive, MLC Asset Management on 18 July 2019 and will be responsible for the end-to-end management of MLC’s Asset Management business.
Garry has had a long and extensive career with MLC, working across Product Management, Strategy and General Management roles in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom in a number of Executive Positions.
He is currently in the role of EGM, Super and Solutions leading the Asset Management; Product & Platforms; Corporate Super; and Product Enablement teams. He was previously the EGM for Asset Management from 2009 to 2018, during which time the business grew from around $70bn of funds under management to over $200bn.
Garry also led MLC’s expansion into a range of direct asset classes, different businesses both domestically and offshore, and the growth and then establishment of JANA as a standalone management owned business.
He has been Director of a number of Group companies in Australia and the UK covering both Wealth Management and Asset Management and is currently a director of several Asset Management and MLC related Boards.
Group Executive, Retirement & Investment Solutions
Tim was announced as incoming General Executive, Retirement and Investment Solutions as part of the new MLC Wealth structure. He will be responsible for the end to end management of MLC Retirement and Investment solutions.
Tim joined NAB in 2016 where he leads a team of more than 500, including salaried and self-employed advisers, providing quality financial advice to NAB clients.
Prior to this, Tim was Managing Director for ipac and Genesys where he successfully led various customer focused and strategic business initiatives.
Tim was also Director of AMP Horizons and other programs of work to support emerging talent.
Throughout his career, Tim has demonstrated a track record of leading large teams to help advisers grow and develop their businesses, and provide customers with high quality financial advice and an exceptional experience.
Tim actively contributes to several industry forums and Chairs the Licensee Leadership Forum, which he established in 2018 and includes senior representatives from across the industry.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Newcastle and in 2015 completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Tim is a Director of the Australian Rugby Foundation.
Group Executive Advice (Acting)
Geoff Rogers is the newly appointed Group Executive Advice (Acting) for MLC Wealth. He will oversee the Advice strategy and the transformation of the Advice division.
Geoff has a long history with MLC and NAB, and brings a breadth of wealth management expertise to his role, both on and offshore.
In his most recent role as the General Manager of MLC Wealth Distribution, Geoff was responsible for all sales of MLC Wealth’s retail Platform and Asset Management offers to advisers.
Prior to this he held a wide range of senior executive roles including General Manager of NAB Financial Planning, and General Manager of Insurance and Investments at the Bank of New Zealand. Along with other assignments in Asia, Geoff was CEO of Advance MLC, establishing and operating the start-up Life Insurance and Funds Management businesses in Thailand.
Geoff also has a deep understanding of the superannuation industry, which he gained early in his career through his experience managing MLC’s Superannuation and Income Stream Platform offers.
When he’s not working, Geoff is a family man with a huge passion for cycling.
