Employer Super has structured an investment option menu from a variety of leading investment managers to ensure that the needs of the employer sponsored market are met. This means employees have the ability to tailor a diversified investment portfolio to suit their individual needs and objectives.
You have the ability to nominate the default option for your plan from the menu of the investment options listed below:
Diversified Income
Diversified Balanced
Diversified Growth
Diversified Aggressive
If you don't nominate a specific investment option, the Trustee will apply a 'Dynamic Default' option. This means employees' super will be invested based on their age as follows:
| Age | Default investment option |
|---|---|
| Up to 35 | Pre Select High Growth Fund |
| Age 35 to less than 50 | Pre Select Growth Fund |
| 50 and over | Pre Select Balanced Fund |
The Dynamic Default strategy broadly addresses the changing needs of employees as they reach certain life stages.
Employee benefits remain in the default investment option applied at the time of joining and their age at that time. Benefits are automatically switched to the following investment option when they reach the next age band.
As employees approach the next age band they will be advised of their pending investment re-allocation and will be given the option to remain invested in the Dynamic Default option based on age, or alternatively select an investment option of their choice.
