MLC People Program

The MLC People Program aims to encourage and support our employees in the work they do to help others in the community. This program provides benefits for both employees and community organisations and encourages individual involvement. We have three programs available;

1. Employee Grants
   Each year the MLC Community Foundation can award philanthropic grants for community initiatives up to the value of $50,000. Applications for funding are sourced and received from permanent MLC employees only.The philosophy, focus and guidelines for employee grants will follow those of the Grants Program.
2. Matching of Employee Fundraising
   Fundraising is a popular avenue for MLC employees to support eligible charities. The MLC Community Foundation may match employee fundraising efforts up to a total of $100,000 each financial year.
3. MLC's Workplace Giving Program and matching
   MLC's Workplace Giving program enables employees to regularly contribute to their preferred charity directly from their salary. The MLC Community Foundation offers a matching program for donations made through Workplace Giving.

Specific details on each program are available to employees through internal communications. The MLC Advisory committee regularly reviews, and alters when necessary, the MLC People Program to ensure funding decisions are made for the benefit of the community and are aligned to the goals and objectives of the Foundation.
